General Rules of Conduct - We do not allow posts that violate the League of Lampwork Artists forum community standards. The forum administration shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. We not not intend to censor posts based on the opinions expressed within posts, but we will enforce forum policies and community standards. You shall not post on these forums any Content which (a) is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, harassing or threatening, (b) contains viruses or other contaminating or destructive features, (c) violates the rights of others, such as Content which infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or violates any right of privacy or publicity, or (d) otherwise violates any applicable law.

 

Member Names - While we do not prohibit the use of nicknames for your username, please refrain from using anything offensive. Forum members may not post messages under another person's name or pretend to be another person. Members are not permitted to post under multiple personalities on this forum in order to develop a discussion or imply support for a position or post.  Memberships and paid subscriptions may not be shared.

Topics of Discussion - While these discussion forums encourage a wide range of opinions, please keep your posts focused on the topic of the forum or thread in which you are submitting your message. Members are encouraged to start a new thread before hijacking a current thread with off-topic postings.

Harassment and Flaming - The League of Lampwork Artists forum does not permit members to harass or "flame" other members. Please do not post any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including, but not limited to, any material which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, violate the rights of others, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law. These rules apply to posts as well as messages sent through the private messaging system.

Copyrighted or Trademarked Materials - It is illegal to post any content that is copyrighted or trademarked, unless you hold the copyright or trademark. It is acceptable to provide a link to copyrighted material. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are also not allowed.

Posting Advertisements - A member may answer another member's question about their occupation or business, however, blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited. It is permissible for members to mention services or products that are provided by them or the companies with which they are affiliated, as long as the information is germane to the topic, is not a blatant advertisement, and the members mention their affiliation with the company in the content of the message.

Posting Images - Forum members are allowed to embed images in their messages, signatures and profiles, however users should refrain from posting any images of a sexual, violent, intense or offensive nature. If you are uncertain is an image is acceptable or not, please contact forum administration for approval.

Content Restrictions - You shall not use these forums for any commercial purpose, to distribute any advertising or solicitation of funds or goods and services. You may not use discussions to recommend, praise, or belittle other products or services, or any company; without first hand experience of those products or services.
