As part of our advocacy mission, LoLA is seeking to identify the prominent issues facing lampwork artists today.
- Is it impact of mass-produced, imported lampwork beads?
- Is it the lack of vendor representation in trade show promotion and policies?
- Is it copyright infringement, eBay practices, annealing or studio safety?
Identifying the issues and developing policy statements is not enough, though. In the Advocacy area of our forum, we will:
- Define our prominent issues.
- Research our chosen issues.
- Identify the groups we need to target.
- Develop our specific policy.
- Determine the best ways to effect change.
- Establish our goals.
- Take action.
- Evaluate our effectiveness.
